child of the world,
student of life,
and from the heart in and around the water.
This is me
My story
Born and raised in Germany, I finally followed my heart after a few wrong turns and studied psychology. I have always been interested in the stories of my fellow human beings and liked to support and accompany them in solving problems. It quickly became clear that I wanted to follow up my studies with training as a psychological psychotherapist. After a few years of study and practice, it was finally accomplished and I was a licensed psychotherapist. For several years now I have been supporting clients on their paths as a therapist and coach.
In all these years, water has always been my companion. From swimming to windsurfing to underwater rugby, I found a good balance in the water. Finally, I discovered free diving for myself. A wonderful mindfulness practice. And I followed my second passion, the water, next to my job and expanded my knowledge and skills in freediving to the point of becoming an instructor. I quickly noticed that my work as a psychotherapist and freediving intersected: Mindfulness, relaxation, dealing and inner dialogue with self, and imagination processes. Accordingly, I see both freediving as a wonderful complement and practice field for psychological issues and psychotherapy and coaching as an enrichment for freediving. Thus I like to link the two areas together.

But that is not enough. The body is the temple in which the soul resides. In the western world there is a strong tendency to neglect the body and to be far too often in the head and rationalize. But the way back into the body and into feeling is so important for a fulfilled life in harmony and connected with oneself. Even though I already include the body very much in my work, on a longer journey beyond that I felt the impulse in me to learn a physical process as well. And so it happened. In Mexico, Janzu (I had heard of Watsu years before, so it seemed familiar) fell to my feet. It was time and I took it. I got trained in this form of aquatic bodywork and I am thrilled with this unique method with so much potential. The Janzu wonderfully combines my two passions: water and self-awareness. And once again in Janzu I see strong connections both to free diving, which can be fostered and access created with it, and to psychological processes that can be stimulated during a session. I have always offered the Janzu in the places where I am (currently Lisbon, Portugal) and am thrilled to witness and accompany the effects it has on my clients.
